Rachel’s
Challenge
Rachel Scott was the first victim of the
Columbine tragedy. Since that day her story has
been shared with more than 10 million people in
venues around the world. Darrell Scott’s
message contains powerful challenges taken
from his daughter’s life that are making schools
safer and more enjoyable place.
One of these challenges is "Look for the best in
others." Rachel was a writer and Darrell shared
many of her writings with the crowd. Heart-rending,
humorous, thought-provoking and entertaining,
this presentation awakes your fears and
revitalizes your commitment to safer at school. |

Molder of dreams
All who work with children are “molders of
dreams,” according to Guy Doud, 1986 National
Teacher of the Year. In his now-famous speech,
Dr. Doud relates how all adults contribute to a
child’s growth and development, and shares his
personal story of growing up in a dysfunctional
home where school was an oasis of sanity.
This heart warming tale of a child who was
bullied and didn't fit in, breaking the cycle of
poverty and failure credited great teachers with
his success. Few dry eyes crowded the Galt House
Ballroom as he took listeners to his childhood
home of Minnesota and all the way to the White
House to receive the teacher of the year award
from President Reagan.
